Thank you for stopping by the Kindle Community Library. I just learned about the DRM (digital rights management) issues with Kindle books. You can only loan a book ONE time. If you loan a book to a stranger through the Kindle Community Library (the original idea of the library), you would not be able to loan the book to a friend (or anybody else who asked) later.

Two days after I discovered this "issue", the library started taking off (it had done nothing for four months). At this point, I have everything "on hold" in hopes that public pressure will resolved these silly DRM policies (same battles fought with the music recording labels).

My name is Rob and I just got my Kindle Touch in November 2011. After I bought my first couple books, I discovered Kindle books (some, not all) can be shared with others. I thought, with all the people I know who have a Kindle, why not start a community lending library? That idea and all the resources I am finding online inspired this online community.
